Booking
How do I schedule an appointment?
You can book an appointment through the contact form on our website or by reaching out to us on Instagram @autolab_clt. We'll confirm your appointment and discuss your vehicle's needs before your visit.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We are an appointment-only shop. This allows us to give every vehicle our full attention and ensures we have the right parts and time set aside for your project. No waiting rooms, no surprises.
What is your typical turnaround time?
Turnaround depends on the scope of work. A simple bolt-on install like an intake or downpipe is usually same-day. Larger builds involving multiple parts or tuning may take 2-3 days. We'll give you an honest timeline upfront.
Where are you located?
We're located at 18605 Northline Dr F13, Cornelius, NC 28031. We serve the greater Charlotte metro area including Cornelius, Huntersville, Davidson, and Mooresville.
Services
What vehicles do you work on?
We specialize in BMW (B58 and B46 platforms), BMW M (S55, S58, and S63 engines), and MKV Toyota Supra (A90/A91). This includes models like the M3, M4, M2, M5, X3M, X4M, 340i, M240i, 540i, and Supra 3.0.
Do you offer ECU tuning?
Yes. We offer ECU flashing via MHD Flasher for B58, S55, and S58 platforms. We can flash OTS (off-the-shelf) maps or work with custom tuners to dial in your specific setup. We also sell MHD licenses directly.
Can you install parts I purchased elsewhere?
Absolutely. We're happy to install customer-supplied parts. Just let us know what you have ahead of time so we can plan accordingly and make sure everything is compatible with your setup.
Do you offer maintenance services or just performance work?
We do both. From oil changes, brake jobs, and cooling system flushes to full performance builds — we handle it all. Many of our customers bring their cars to us for all their service needs, not just upgrades.
Parts
Do you sell parts directly?
Yes. We carry parts from brands like MAD, AMS Performance, ApexBuilt, MST Performance, IRL, Valvetronic, and MHD Tuning. Browse our parts page to see what's available for your platform.
Can you source parts not listed on your site?
Yes. If you're looking for something specific that isn't on our parts page, reach out and we'll do our best to source it for you. We have relationships with most major BMW and Supra aftermarket vendors.
Do parts come with a warranty?
Warranty coverage depends on the manufacturer. Most of our vendors offer warranties on their products — for example, ApexBuilt offers a lifetime warranty on their downpipes and intakes. We'll let you know the warranty details for any part before you buy.
Do you offer installation with parts purchases?
Yes. Most customers purchase parts and have us install them in the same visit. We can bundle parts and labor to keep things simple. Just let us know what you need when booking your appointment.
Pricing
How does pricing work for performance upgrades?
We provide transparent pricing upfront. Parts are priced at retail, and labor is quoted based on the specific job. No hidden fees, no surprises. Contact us for a quote on your build.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. We're happy to discuss your build goals and provide a ballpark estimate over the phone or through our contact form. For more detailed quotes, we may need to see the vehicle in person.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards, and digital payments. Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise arranged.
Do you require a deposit?
For larger builds or special-order parts, we may require a deposit to secure your appointment and order parts. We'll discuss this with you during the booking process.
